Situated right on the beach overlooking the sea on the Norfolk coast, the building was originally built as a country house around the 1850's. Gary Stubbs took over the Poacher's Pocket 15 years ago and Caroline joined him in the business 4 years ago. It has much to offer including, large Bar Area, upstairs Restaurant, Function Room and Bed & Breakfast with Chalet Accommodation, dogs welcome.
Located just 20 miles from Norwich with it's culture, heritage and fantastic shopping and close to the Broads, it is ideal for a short break or stay for the whole family.
Poacher's Pocket is an ideal break for:
- Sea fishing - short breaks available for parties up to eight persons, including accommodation and meals.
- Coarse fishing - 2 miles away at St Georges Fisheries, East Ruston.
- Walking - long stretches of beach, Bacton Woods and Weavers Way, DOGS WELCOME.
- Water Sports - jet skiing, surfing.etc.
- Lazy few days on our beautiful sandy beach.
Bacton beach currently holds a Blue Flag for it's excellent water, which makes it great for swimmer and water sports alike.

It also makes it a lovely spot for fishing, the beach provides good all round sport throughout the year with high tides in the evening providing the best sport. Good bags of skate can be had during early autumn with coding plentiful in early winter.

Bacton Woods can be found near by. There are three waymarked trails which vary between 2 and 4 kilometers.
